Biography

Flick, Arthur E. 

 Arthur E "Art" Flick 64 of 109 Layton St. Sayre Pa passed away unexpectedly on Monday Dec. 21, 2009 at the Robert Packer Hospital. Arthur was born on Sept 21,1945 in Sayre PA and was the son of Charles W and Orpha Flick. Arthur married Barb Chapman on June 7th, 1975. Arthur graduated from Sayre High School and served in the US Army stationed in Germany. After retiring from the Ingersoll Rand in Athens PA, he went to work for a short period of time at Gutierrez Machine Shop in E. Athens PA. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, attending their school/sporting events, you could find Art in the fall on the hill at Sayre football practices, and riding around the valley in his truck, and hanging out at Tops Market.He was also an avid fan of all Sayre sports programs and helped out with most of them. He was a life member of the J.E. Wheelock #5 hose co in Milltown. He is survived by his wife Barbara at home, son Leslie, daughter Lisa (Steve) Wilbur, grandchildren Makayla, Rebecca Flick and Brice Wilber, mother Orpha Flick of Sayre, sister Rachel (Norm) Davis of Hinsdale NY, brother Bob (Jayne) Flick of Sayre, sister-in-law Judy Flick of Athens. Also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Arthur is predeceased by his father Charles W, brother Charles R Flick, aunts and uncles.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday December 23, 2009 from 4-6 PM at the Blauvelt Funeral Home 625 Broad St. Waverly NY. Full military honors will be accorded.Funeral services to celebrate the life of Art will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.Burial will be held in New Albany, Pa.
