Biography

Simonds, Helen I. 

Helen Irene Simonds passed away peacefully at home Thursday May 20th, 2010 with her loving family by her side. Born April 3, 1933, New Era, PA. She was predeceased in death by her parents Frank & Jessie (Betts) Scrivens, siblings Betty J Northrup, Janet Smith, Raymond Scrivens, son-in-law Fred Slife. Survived at home Thomas J Simonds Sr. Her children Thomas J Simonds Jr., Connie M Slife, and Richard G Simonds. Grand Children Thomas Simonds 3rd, Christian Simonds, Cody (Brian) Wurst, Cali Slife, Summer R. Simonds and Morgan T. Simonds. Great grandchild Cashmer Simonds and Close Family friends Bob Forkin, Gary, Rachael, Elizabeth Perry.

Helen attended Athens High School she worked at the Bradford Co Daycare for 16years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, working in her flower gardens, attending horse shows & taking motorcycle trips with her husband.

A time for gathering with family and friends will be from 1-2 P.M. Saturday May 22, 2010 at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly, New York. The celebration of Helen's life will follow the visitation with the Rev. William Wells honoring her memory at 2 P.M. Burial will be held in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, Pennsylvania. Those wishing may send a sympathy message of remembrance for Helen's family.
