Biography

Dimmick, Charles T. 

 Charles T. "Ted" Dimmick, 87, of Chemung , N.Y. , went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 14 th, 2010 at Elderwood Health Care at Tioga.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jane, daughter Judy (Kenneth) Fells of Schaller, Iowa., son Dave (Karen) Dimmick of North Chemung, NY, brothers William (Marilyn) Dimmick of Waverly, NY, and Gene (Shirley) Dimmick of Sayre, Pa., and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Dimmick was a WWII veteran and served with the Army’s 42nd Rainbow Division. He was very proud of his service to his country. Mr. Dimmick was self employed at William F. Dimmick & Son in Waverly, NY, selling and repairing Harley-Davidson motorcycles and bicycles. After a short retirement he began his second career, delivering the Elmira Star Gazette by motor route until his illness prevented him from continuing. Family & friends are invited to attend a graveside service, officiated by the Rev. Kenneth Fells, at the Chemung Cemetery in Chemung, NY on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 10:00 am.
