Biography

Ann M. Peterson

Ann M. Peterson, 80 of Waverly passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the Robert Packer Hospital after a three year courageous battle with cancer.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Marie Griffin Roberts; her husband of 61 years, Donald Peterson; sisters, Mary Ellen Sharpsteen, and Lorrain Lowrey; and son-in-law, Dana Ivester.

Ann is survived by her children, Tina Ivester of Waverly, Susan (Gerald Holton) Bombacie of Waverly, Duane (Ginger) Peterson of FL, Kevin Peterson of Waverly, Daniel Peterson of Waverly, Karen (Larry Richards) Peterson of Lockwood, and Lori (Martin Mallory) Peterson of Waverly; brother, Joseph (Polly) Roberts of FL; sister, Joan (Chuck) Lane of SC; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Don and Ann owned and operated Peterson’s Greenhouse for over 20 years.  She enjoyed carving and was a master carver who was a member of the Audubon Club and TOPS in Waverly.  She enjoyed fishing, camping and going yearly to the Watkins Glen Race Track.  Ann was very talented and could do anything she put her mind to.
