Biography

Constance L. Brennan


Constance Doane Brennan, 64, of Liverpool, N.Y. and formerly of the Valley, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2015 at SUNY Upstate Medical Hospital in Syracuse, New York after a brief illness. Visitation will take place Wednesday, August 19, 2015, 1:00 at2:00 PM at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly, NY.  There will be a graveside service at St. James Cemetery following the funeral service.  The celebration of Connie's life will follow the graveside service at 3:00 P.M. at the Sons of Italy in Sayre, PA.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one's favorite charity.
Connie was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.  Connie graduated from Waverly High School in 1970 and SUNY Upstate Medical University in 1973 with an X-Ray Technologist Degree.  Connie married Larry Brennan in 1970 and worked at Upstate Medical Hospital until 1978.  Connie and Larry moved to Tully, then Syracuse, and eventually settled in Liverpool, NY in 1984; where they raised 5 children.  Connie stayed home to raise her children and returned to work at WalMart in 2002.  Connie also breed dogs and took special care with all of her puppies up to their adoptions.
Connie loved traveling to the ocean and enjoying the sun and sand.  She most enjoyed spending time with family, loved being a mother and grandmother and truly cared for her family.  Connie was kind, generous, hard working, always busy with projects, and always had a smile and a laugh for everyone she met.  Connie was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed.  Connie loved anything with warm, bright colors, especially oranges and greens.  She was especially fond of the color orange and she loved riding around in her burnt orange Honda Element.
Connie is survived by her husband Lawrence E. Brennan, children Joshua Brennan (wife Stephanie), Jessica Brennan-Quinones (husband Peter), Seth Brennan, Alec Brennan and Andrew Brennan, grandchildren Alanna Brennan, Jacob Brennan, Mea Brennan-Quinones, Selena Brennan, Raine Brennan, and Rhys Brennan, mother Janet Doane, brother Clifton Doane II (wife Linda) of Waverly, NY, Gary Doane of Brooklyn, NY, Mark Doane (wife Linda), of Barton, NY, Adrian Doane of Waverly, NY, and Robin Doane (wife Marge) of Annapolis, MD, sisters June Luther (husband Dan) of Endicott, NY and Suzanne Doane-Ventola (husband Joe) of Denver, CO.  Connie is pre-deceased by her father Clifton Doane and brother Michael Doane (wife Eva).
