Biography

Douglas N. Perry Jr.

Douglas N. Perry, Jr. passed away October 19, 2017 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 4, 1957, the son of Douglas N. Perry, Sr. and Eleanor Cunrod Perry.

After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Doug worked for many years as a contractor and then as a machinist in later years.

Doug is survived by his mother, Eleanor Perry Marsh of Waverly NY; his wife, Michelle Furman Perry of Newfield NY;  children, Doug (Heather) of Hollidaysburg PA, Joey (Christle) of Albertville AL, John of Asbury AL, Eleanor (Joe) of Binghamton NY, Sarah (Eddie) of Syracuse NY and David of Camp Lejeune NC; and siblings, Ester Sheldon of Bamberg SC, Linda Bolen of Grapevine TX, Beth Ann Vizcarrondo of Vestal NY, Daniel (Shelley) of Spencer NY, Sheila (David) Spencer of Ulster PA, Irene (Bill) Cunningham of Lockwood NY, Rebecca Lattari of Sayre PA, Dale of Rocky Ford Co, and Dwight (Jennifer) of Halsey Valley NY. He is also survived by his grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Doug was predeceased by his father, Douglas Perry, Sr. in 1978.

Doug was a kind, caring person who was loved by all those whose lives he touched. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

There will be a graveside service on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 1:00 at the Greensprings Natural Cemetery, 293 Irish Hill Road  in Newfield, NY.
