It is hard to sum up my almost 50 years of memories of this wonderful person. Gathering on Zoom to celebrate her 103rd birthday was wonderful. Perhaps I'll best remember her integrity, love of family and love of God. I was blessed to feel part of her "extended" family. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Gorman family.

Rick mary Ann and Family,
I was Elsie's hairdresser for several years before the nursing home.
I remember it was a Saturday in the winter and she was due for her hair appt. She was probably in her mid 70's. It snowed all the night before 6-8 inches,in fact. My younger clients all cancelled their Saturday am appts.
Not Elsie, who I would have expected her to cancel due to her age and the amount of snowfall.
She arrived on time 9:00am and told me that she got up early and fired up that snowblower. She blew out the driveway and all her sidewalk area. I think she lived on a corner, so lots of sidewalk to care for. I was so shocked to see her arrive on time plus accomplish all that snowblowing task. Remember the next day was Sunday----- __CHURCH!.
I told her that all the rest of the am clinets cancelled who lived closer to my shop aand all were much younger than she.
She gave me a quiet coy smile with a little flash in her eye.
I thought to myself--Whimps!!!~
She had fortitude, determination, and very dependable above and beyond the call of duty.
That was Elsie.
May she rest peacefully with rest of her family members -- she deserves peace and rest with the Lord.
May this story give you all a chuckle of a great memory of her.
Deepest sympathy to all,
