Evelyn J. Marvin, 84, lost her battle to a long-term illness on June 6, 2019, in Endicott, NY.
Evelyn was born on October 14, 1934 in South Otselic to parents Harold and Mary Teeter. She attended McLean School until 10th grade. She was an employee of Smith Corona Corporation and later retired from NCC Industries in Cortland, NY.
Evelyn was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Evelyn was treasured, adored and loved spending time with her family and friends. Evelyn enjoyed playing the slots at the casinos, playing bingo, bowling and square dancing. Her family and friends will always remember Evelyn as a loving and caring person who put everyone else first.
She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Mary Teeter; her brothers, Harold Teeter, Richard Teeter, Harry Teeter, James Teeter, and Gary Teeter; and her daughters, Donna Bell and Mary Standish.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Richard Marvin of Marathon; her son David (Donna) Meade of Weedsport; her daughters, Nancy (Stephen) Moore of Marathon; and Allison (Gordon) Yerdon of Kirkwood; her son, Gregory Marvin of Cortland; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a memorial celebration of life for Evelyn on July 6, 2019 at the Marathon Fire Station at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 North McKinley Ave., Endicott, NY 13760 or Marathon Fire Department, 2 Peck St., Marathon, NY in honor of Evelyn. The family would like to thank everyone for their calls and support during this difficult time, Pastor Dave Coy from Cortland Faith Baptist Church in Cortland and Blauvelt Funeral Home of Waverly for their assistance and compassion in making the arrangements.

So sorry for your loss. Prayers go out for the family. Aunt Ev was like a big sister to me for many, many years. She was a loving and caring woman and will be sorely missed. Love you Aunt Ev and family.
