Francis Paul DeVine, 37,  born January 27, 1979, in Elmira, NY, has lost his courageous battle with brain cancer on Monday, March 14, 2016, at LifePath Hospice Home in Sun City Center, FL.   Francis graduated from Waverly High School in 1997, joining the Army out of high school.  He served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves from 1997 until 2013 having served in Iraq from 2006-2007.  At the time of his diagnosis Fran was working as a welder in Alabama for Boilermakers Local 433 in Tampa, FL

Francis was charismatic and flamboyant, loving life to the fullest.  His motto was "I live for today." He was the life of the party making everyone laugh.  He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched so deeply. His Army brothers and sisters remained vigil by his side until the end showing the bond they shared on and off the battle field.  His wife, Sarah, was sent as an angel to comfort and care for him. Now we will do the same for her.
