Guy J. Moe, 81 of Waverly. On Thursday, May 30, 2019, we lost a beloved and highly respected member of our family
He was born on Aug. 26, 1937 in Skinners Eddy, PA to Bernard Moe and Caroline (Frisbie) and was also raised by his step-father, Edmund Dodge, whom he deeply admired.
Moe graduated from high school in Waverly, N.Y. He lived a life of loyalty and hard work with his 40 years of service to the Ingersoll-Rand Company. Moe showed an appreciation for the outdoors. He spent much of his time in nature riding snowmobiles, ATV's and hunting.
In 1982, he married his sweetheart, Judith (Millard). Moe and Judith both rode motorcycles, enjoyed road trips and hosted many gatherings for family and friends.
Moe was survived by his wife, Judith; children, Victor and Susan Moe, Steven and Denise Moe, Suzanne and Rick Carling; step-children, Jody and Chris Jilson, Robert and Louise Babcock, Jimmy and Terri Babcock, Christopher and Lisa Babcock; grandchildren, Adam, Eric, Heather, Maria, Stacey, Katie, Kelly, Elizabeth, Josh, Taisha, Samantha, Tony, Shane, Alyssa, Devon; great grandchildren; Alexia, Madison, Adrianna, Elliot, Luke, Joey, Mason, Titan, Sophia, Brody, And Gage; and faithful dog Sami.
Moe is remembered for his witty remarks, his skilled craft in woodworking, and life lessons in morals, values and integrity that he passed on to his children and many grandchildren.
A time of calling will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 11 to 12 at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly, NY.
