Biography

Harry C. Walters

Harry C. Walters, 87 of Sayre passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Bradford County Manor in Troy, PA following a brief illness.  He was born on October 4, 1929, the son of Fred and Francis Walters.  He was married to the love of his life, Marian Clark Walters for 56 years.  She predeceased him in 2007.

Harry worked at the Ingersoll Rand for 43 years retiring in 1982.  During his life he loved to bowl, golf, hunt, fish, and of course gamble.  He had a green thumb when it came to growing anything and he could build anything.

He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Francis Walters; wife, Marian; in-laws, Charles and Louise Bass Clark; brother, Roy; sister-in-law, Helen Rogers; brother-in-law, Eugene Albrect.

He is survived by his son, Mark (Vicki) Walters; Carole “Suzie” Bell; grandson, Matt (Melissa Walters) and their children, Riley, Kayla and Emma; sister-in-laws, Jean Albrect, Nancy Clark, and Barb Walters; along with nieces and nephews, Clark (Gail) Rogers, Nancy Velasquez, Ben (Linda Albrect), Martin (Stacey) Albrect, Lorraine (George) Pfeister III, Jeff Walters, Tina (Larry) Edsell, Alan (Traci) Walters, Patty (Claude) Kinney.

A time of calling will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 4 to 5 PM at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly.  A memorial service will be held immediately following at 5 PM at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly with Rev. Anne Bey Canfield officiating.  Burial will be in Bradford County Memorial Park in Luther Mills at the convenience of the family.  Memorial donations may be made in Harry’s name to an Animal Shelter of one’s choice.
