Harry E. Carlsen, 72, of Spencer, NY, passed away unexpectedly at home on February 6, 2018. Harry was born August 16, 1945 in Biloxi, MS. Harry grew up in East Brunswick, NJ and graduated from Delaware Valley College in 1967. Harry moved to Spencer, NY in 1970 to start his career in dairy farming, where he had cattle up until January of 2018.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry & Elinor Carlsen; and his wife, Karen Duncan-Carlsen. He is survived by his sister, Elin Christina (Bill) Siebels; his three children, Pamela (Eric) Simcoe, Matthew (Ann) Carlsen, France (Wayne) Huddleston; three grandchildren, Gregory Carlsen, Chenelle Huddleston and Sheldon Huddleston; three nephews and numerous friends.
Harry was an avid volleyball player, in which he played several days a week for most of his adult life. He enjoyed animals, farming, the outdoors and watching sports.
It was Harry's wishes that there be no calling hours or services. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
