Helen M. Panek of Waverly NY went to be with the Lord on Wednesday August 12, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Scranton PA on September 21, 1942 to John and Beatrice (Bienick) Pivovarnik. Helen loved Christmas and would turn her large living room into a Christmas Winter Wonderland every year. She cherished all the memories that she made going to the beach with her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and especially all of her sisters. Helen loved to bowl and enjoyed traveling to all of the tournaments. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. All who knew her will always cherish the memories they have together.
Helen was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Vodge of 47 years, sister Maryann Sledzinski and brother John Pivovarnik as well as a brother-in-law Tom Gilbride.
Helen is survived by her children, Tina and husband Bill Rynone, Jody and husband James Campbell, Walter and wife Tina Panek, Michael Panek and Vada Hamblin. Grandchildren; Tom and wife Alvir Rynone, Zach Rynone and Danielle Pond, Amy Campbell Orlandi and husband Patrick, Marcus Campbell, John Michael and James Panek, and Lexie Panek. Great grandchildren; Christopher Bergman, Brenton Campbell, Andi and Avry Rynone, all in Waverly, NY. Helen is also survived by siblings Joseph Pivovarnik (Kathleen), Beatrice Burkhart (Jay), Barbara Gilbride, Susan Miller (Charlie), and Diana Jacobe (Jude), and sister-in-law Elaine Pivovarnik and several nieces and nephews.
A time of gathering with family and friends will be from 10am to12pm Monday August 17th at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street Waverly NY. The celebration of life will follow.
