In loving memory of Henry A. McCall "Curly", 80, a lifelong Valley resident of Waverly, N.Y.
Henry passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira, NY
Henry was born on April10, 1936 the son of Henry W. and Thea McCall in Chicago, Illinois.
He traveled abroad with the GE Ranch as a young child and then the family settled here in the valley. Henry married Sandra Yaple of Tioga Center, NY on August 11, 1956. Henry was predeceased by his wife in March 2015. He worked for John H. Murray and Sons for many years, but retired from the Sayre Pa. Water Company. He enjoyed horses, hunting, working with his hands, competing in backhoe rodeos with his backhoe, performing in the "Valley Barber Shop Quartet", and always gave a helping hand to anyone who asked.
"Curly" was well loved by everyone he met and his family was most important to him. He is remembered for his humor and endless energy.
Henry is survived by his two sons, Bruce McCall of Cincinnatus, NY, and Bryan McCall of Chesapeake, Maryland; two daughters, Debra Baker of Fort Lawn, South Carolina and Chrystal McCall of Waverly, New York; his six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 5 to 5:45 PM at the Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly, NY. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 6:00 PM at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly, NY with Rev. Thomas Valenti officiating.
