James "Jim" Eugene Bronson, 69, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Elderwood with his family close by.
Jim, born in Washington, DC, was predeceased by his parents, James and Grace (Moss) Bronson and three sisters, Carole Gabello, Donna Bronson and Jean Detrick.
Jim is survived by his wife, Genevieve (Piechowicz) Bronson of 49 years; his four children, Tracy Sutton and husband Timothy, Waverly, James Bronson and wife Briana, Waverly, Janine Dippel and companion Jon King, Andover, NJ, and Jessica Horton and husband Nathon, Apalachin; eight grandchildren, Danielle Puusalu and husband Jacob, Genevieve & Timothy Sutton, Ryan & Patric Bronson, Michael & Mckenzie Dippel and Henry Horton; one great grandchild, Quinn Puusalu; two sisters, Mary Richards and Sondra Goforth; and three brothers, Thomas, Robert & Richard Bronson.
Jim attended Scranton High School and Johnson Trade School studying carpentry. He was employed for 24 years with G.T.E.-Verizon until his retirement. He then spent 8 years working at Page and Keystone Manors. Jim was passionate about working on and driving old cars. He was known for his homemade pizza. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, cooking shows, the Denver Broncos and, most of all, his grandchildren playing sports. He was a quick witted, loving, and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

A private burial will be held with immediate family. Friends and family may call on Monday, September 5, 2016 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly, NY. A celebration of Jim's life will follow at 3:00 PM with Rev Ronald Golden officiating.
