Biography

Jeffrey B. Cole

Jeffrey Brian Cole of Waverly, NY, lost his battle on March 4, 2016 after a brief illness.

He was born on July 3, 1958 to William F. and Ruth Cole Simpson. He was predeceased by his father, mother, stepfather Clint Simpson, and brothers Claude Harper and Dennis Cole.

He is survived by his brothers Bill (Sherry) Cole, Ray Cole, Jim (Laura) Cole, John (Elaine) Cole, Ralph (Amanda) Simpson, and Carl Simpson, sisters Sally (Vine) Plouse and Sue (Jack) Wheeler, and step siblings Ken Simpson, Craig Simpson, and Julie Lovell, as well as several nieces and nephews, including Angela Cole Foley and Alan Cole who he cared a great deal for. He is also survived by girlfriend Nancy Works along with her family, especially her children Brittany Huffner, Danielle Huffner (with fiance Matt Buice), and Trevor Works. He will be greatly missed by his "little gray kitty" of 18 years Reese.

Jeff worked at Robert Packer Hospital, and then various automotive dealerships in the area with the last one being Ferrario Auto Team. Jeff enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, the Buffalo Bills, and NASCAR in his free time. He also loved his Thursday night "group" at the Rail House with close friends John Knapp, Jill and Reaf Deskins, Bill and Deb Chandler, Nancy, and Mary Gorman. He looked forward to Sundays at "The Man Cave" at John's with all of his friends.

The families would like to thank the staff of the Sub-Acute Unit at Elderwood for all of their wonderful care and compassion during Jeff's final days. Per Jeff's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Those wishing may visit our Facebook page or send a private sympathy message of remembrance for Jeff’s family in “obituaries” at www.blauveltfuneralhome.com.
