Karen & the Gentile Family,
I wish me and my family in Texas could be there in person to pay our respects. I'm sending my deepest condolences to the entire Family. I speak for the whole Hopkins household when I say "Jer Bear" was a part of our family. I'll cherish all the memories we had with Jerry at the Ithaca/Syracuse/TCU/Buffalo football games & NASCAR races. We loved having Jerry visit us in Texas & I always looked forward to our tags up (both in person and on the phone). Jerry was always easy to talk to and such a kind & genuine friend. Jerry will truly be missed by our family.

Karen, We were shocked and saddened by the news of Jerry's passing. Joe enjoyed working with him at Cornell and he was always so friendly when I ran into him on campus. We were always talking about how the NY Giants would be better next year. That hasn't happened yet! Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
