John F. Everly, 84, of Waverly passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Elderwood Care at Waverly surrounded by his loving family.
He was predeceased by his parents, John F. Everly and Mary Elizabeth Galloway Tate; wife, Beverly Everly; son, Kerry Everly; and brother, David Everly.
John is survived by his daughter, Robin (Kevin) Healey; sons, John David Everly of Bourbonnais, IL and Kevin (Ann) Everly of Waverly; sisters, Glenda Davis of FL, Ruth Metzger of GA and Wilma Chambers of NM; grandchildren, Kristofor, Allison, John, Erin, Carrie, Devin and Catherine; great grandchildren, Vida Mae, John, Faylan, Cannon and Meili Rose; his four legged companion, Buddy; special companion, Ms. Raili Wrenner; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
John was a 1951 graduate of Johnston City Township High School and a 1982 graduate of Kankakee Community College in IL. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1955. John managed a plastic molding company in IL, was an air craft welding instructor in the Air Force, was owner and operator of Everly Sign Co. in IL, was a researcher for Gaines Food in IL, was a supervisor for Leen Co. in Portland, ME, welded for Caterpillar and Chicago Bridge, and worked part time for eight years at State Line Auto in Waverly. John was a life time professional artist, and was a member of the Senior Art Gallery, Valley Fine Arts and Elmira Regional Art Society.

A time of calling will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 11 to 1 at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 1 PM at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly with Pastor Frank Wasielewski officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
