Joseph E. Muscato, 66, of Waverly passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Martha Winkler Muscato; and his brother, Dana Muscato.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Muscato of Waverly; daughters, Jena (Jeremy) Gullo of North East, PA and Sara (Joseph) Parker of Cheektowaga, NY; sister, Mary (Mike) Malinowski of Perrysburg, NY; brothers, Chuck (Linda) Muscato of Sierra Vista, AZ and John Muscato of Sierra Vista, AZ; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Joe was a design engineer for over 40 years. He was a proud Army veteran who served from 1970 to 1973. Joe could always be found with his camera in his hand taking pictures and he loved biking, bow hunting, wood carving and cruising in his crossfire sports car. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. Joe was an active member of St. James Catholic Church in Waverly where he served as a lector. He was also a team member of the RCIA at the Epiphany Parrish in Sayre.
A time of calling will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 4 to 6 PM at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, 503 Clark Street, Waverly, NY with Father Anthony Amato officiating..
