Kevin J. Huddleston, 46, of Sayre, PA passed away unexpectedly on Sunday afternoon, September 25, 2016 at Robert Packer Hospital. Kevin was born August 12, 1970 on Long Island, NY. He was an Eagle scout and a graduate from Sayre High School in 1989, where he then enlisted in the US Air Force. Kevin earned his Associates degree from Community College of the Air Force and his Bachelor’s Degree from Mansfield University in 2001.
Kevin was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving from 1989 to 1997, including deployment during the Persian Gulf Conflict. He earned several medals and awards during his enlistment terms.
In his free time, “The Mayor of Milltown” and also known as “Mr. Fixer” to the many children in his life; highly enjoyed flying R/C planes and was a member of the Valley R/C Model Club. He also enjoyed camping, traveling, Nascar racing and spending time with friends and family. He was a lifetime member of The Sayre VFW #1536 and Sayre American Legion #283.
Kevin was preceded in death by his mother Carol E. Wagner in 2009. He is survived by his longtime girlfriend Wendy Carlin; his brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Frances Huddleston; his very special niece and nephew Chenelle Mae and Sheldon Russell Huddleston. He is also survived by his father John F. Huddleston, Jr and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A time of calling will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 from 4-6pm at the Sayre VFW #1536, 932 W. Lockhart St, Sayre, PA. A memorial service with full military honors will be held following at 6:00 PM at the VFW. He will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
