Biography

Linda A. DelRatez

Linda A. (Duquette) DelRatez passed away at her home in Corning NY surrounded by her family on May 19, 2021
She was born on March 16, 1954 to Walter A. Duquette, Sr. and Doris M. (LaBonte) Duquette in North Adams. She graduated from Drury High School, North Adams in 1972. 
She was predeceased by her parents; siblings, Lorraine Bentley, Arthur Duquette, Raymond Duquette, Ruth Skiffington, Ellen Duquette, Walter Duquette Jr., William Duquette Sr., and Janet Duquette; in-laws, Alfred Talbot, Sylvia Duquette, Rodney Wilson Sr., Beverly Duquette and Mitchell Braman. 
She is survived by her loving husband, William DelRatez who she married February 26, 1977, daughter and son in law, Michele and Brian Copenhagen; grandchildren, Alivia Guile and Jonathan Guile, who were the loves of her life; siblings, Edward Duquette, John Duquette, James Duquette, Annette Talbot and Dawn Wilson. Also several sister and brother-in-laws, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 
She wore many hats but enjoyed her career in Tax preparation for almost 30 years as well as a valued child care provider for many of her family and friends. She had a love for hummingbirds, Bingo, Casino slots, visiting the ocean beaches and activities at the Corning Senior Center. 
There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial at the USW Union Hall, 100 Nassar Civic Center, Center Plaza, Corning, NY 14830 on Friday May 28th 2021, from 3-5 PM. Family and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice in Linda's name.  The family is being assisted by the Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly, New York.  Those wishing to send a message of sympathy to Linda’s family may visit our Facebook page or in “Obituaries” at www.blauveltfuneralhome.com
