Biography

Linda L. Dickson

Linda L. Dickson, 68, of Sayre, PA was called home to the Lord on Saturday, June 24, 2017 after a long courageous battle against cancer.

Linda was born in Sayre, on March 3, 1949.  She graduated from Sayre High School in 1967 and was a talented drummer in the Sayre Band.  Linda continued her education at Corning Community College and completed her Management Development Program at Penn State University in Pennsylvania.

Linda was a manager at the Robert Packer Laundry Facility in Sayre for 30 years and also worked for Masco in Sayre until her retirement.

Linda was a member of the Irish Setter Club of America, Inc. and enjoyed showing her dogs in various dog shows and around the state.  She loved her pets dearly and all animals big and small.  Linda was a member of the Elks Lodge in Sayre and enjoyed playing trivia at the Elks with her family.  Linda loved to work in her yard and do gardening in the Spring and Summer.

Linda was a die-hard Penn State College Football Fan and loved all sports.  She enjoyed not only watching sports on TV but participated all her life in various sports in school and in the community.

Linda was predeceased in death by her beloved parents, Harold Allen Dickson and Dorothy V. Dickson of Sayre.   She is survived by her brother, Judd and (Pam) Dickson; sister, Judy and (Mel) Bair of Sayre; sister, Cynthia Dickson of Sayre.  She is survived by her life-long friend and companion, Adele Lang of Athens; aunt and uncle, David and Phoebe Marshall of Sayre; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.

Memorial donation may be given in honor of Linda to the local Animal Shelter of your preference.  The family of Linda L. Dickson wishes to thank all those who cared for their loving sister.
