Biography

Ralph E. Geiger

Ralph E. Geiger, 72, of Waverly passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.

He was predeceased by his parents, Earl and Evelyn Bryfogle Geiger Sr.; step-mother, Fran Geiger, father and mother-in-law, Charles and Jeanette Stanton; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Geiger.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Diane Geiger of Waverly; daughters, Renee Geiger of Waverly and Aimee (Scott) McClellan of Waverly; brothers, Earl L. (Ester) Geiger Jr of Sayre, Ron (Joyce) Geiger of Athens and Robert Geiger of Sayre; along with many nieces and nephews.

Ralph was born in Sayre and graduated the class of 1967 from Athens High School.  He went on to work at Paxar in Sayre for 30 years.  He enjoyed working in his woodshop and building birdhouses.  

A time of calling will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 10 to 11 AM at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly, New York.  A funeral service to honor Ralph’s life will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly, New York and burial to follow at Tioga Point Cemetery in Athens, Pennsylvania.  Those who are unable to attend the service may view the Live Streamed service at 11:00 AM at www.blauveltfuneralhome.com.  Those wishing to send a message of sympathy to Ralph’s family, may visit our Facebook page or in “Obituaries” at www.blauveltfuneralhome.com
