Ronald Luverne (Waldo) Rudloff, 61, of Sayre passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA after a brief illness.
He was born to Geraldine (Brink) and Russell Rudloff on February 1, 1955.
Ron is survived by his three sons, Darren and Kyle of Sayre, and Joshua (Chelsea) of Ellaville, GA; three grandchildren, Joshua Jr. (Little), Lauren (Bug), and Baby Annabelle; two brothers, Charles (Shelley) of Sayre, and Richard (Elizabeth) of Beaver Creek, OH; sister, Kathleen of Sayre; and his ex-wife and very close friend, Rosemary Rudloff.
Josh Jr. and Lauren adored their Pop Pop. He loved them to the moon and back. Ronald also had three beloved four legged grand dogs, Bailey, Lucy and Tracker. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He spent his life working on the railroad, starting at Lehigh Valley Railroad and retiring from Norfolk Southern.
He attended Sayre High School.
Ronald was an excellent cook. He enjoyed spending time with his sons and his grandchildren, they were the reasons he fought so hard to survive during his recent illness. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and in recent years, fishing with his sons. He had a great sense of humor and liked to make people laugh. That gift was inherited from his father.
Ron will be missed by everyone who knew him. Please think of him whenever you see a train.
To some he was just a man, to us he was our Dad, our Brother, our Friend.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 10 to 10:45 AM at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad St., Waverly, NY.
