Stag Brian Shadduck, a lifelong valley resident, passed away quietly and unexpectedly at home with his loving wife by his side. Stag was born in Syracuse, NY on October 21, 1962. He was a 1980 graduate of Athens Area High School. Immediately following graduation, Stag moved to Florida where he met and married his wife and best friend, Kelly. Stag and Kelly moved back to the valley in 1996 where Stag was instrumental in the opening and operation of Rock and Doc’s Pub in Sayre. He has been employed at GTP in Towanda for the past eight years.
Stag was an avid Buccaneer fan. He also enjoyed watching the Yankees, hunting, and camping. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends at their camper on Brenchley’s Lake.
Stag was predeceased by his mother, Marlene Shadduck, his father, John Shadduck, his mother-in-law Betty Lou Maas, and his nephew Christian Shadduck. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Kelly; his beautiful children Carly, Stag Blair, and Kristy; his sister, Renee Fisher of Athens; three brothers, Rock (Lisa) Shadduck of Athens, Dr. Sneed (Anne) Shadduck of Wyomissing, PA; and Shawn (Dodie) Shadduck of Chandler, AZ; step-sister, Angel Smith of Florida; father-in-law, Bill Maas of California; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cathy Maas, Kristy (Doug) Palsha of Florida, and Kerry (Rich) Tuszynski of California; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and close friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad St., Waverly, NY with Rev. James Donahoo officiating.
