Porky “Steven” Wright, 53, of Chemung passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.
He was predeceased by his father, Eldridge Wright; son, Brock Wright; brother, David Wright; and David Robert Alan Bidlack.
Porky is survived by his partner, Stacy Blow; children, Lillian Wright, Keegan Wright and Avery Wright; mother, Lois Wright; brothers, Thomas Wright of Sayre and Robert (Diane) Wright of Athens; along with several cousin, nieces and nephews.
Porky was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting fishing, camping, four wheeling, going to enduro racing and concerts. He worked for the past couple years at Elmira College as a carpenter.
A time of calling will be held on Monday, March 25, 2019 from 11 to 1 PM at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly. A memorial service to honor Porky’s life will be held on Monday, March 25, 2019 at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
