Susan Andrus Rogers

Susan Andrus Rogers, 71, of Sayre passed away unexpectedly as a result of a sudden tragic accident on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at home.

She was born on February 21, 1948 in Sayre, PA to Joel and Dorothy Kerr Andrus.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joel and Dorothy Kerr Andrus; her husband, Glenn Rogers; sister, Ann Marie Sanchez; and brothers, David Andrus and Norman Andrus.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Holly (Dan) Butcher; grandchildren, Eve, Nathaniel, Grace and Selah; her sister, Janet Andrus; brother, John (Mary Ann) Andrus of Waverly; special nieces, Jennifer Russell Shay and Stacie Andrus; special nephews, Jon Russell and Phillip Andrus; she was very fond of her grandnephew, Patrick Shay, whom she cheered on at all Waverly Football Games; and a great niece, Michaela Shay, who she was proud of for her college endeavors; many other nieces and nephews and in-laws, including one special sister-in-law, Haila Andrus of CA; and her two cherished pets, Patrick and Buttercup.

Susan and Glenn made homes in several states during their marriage.  She worked at the Tioga General Hospital, Robert Packer Hospital and Lockheed Martin.  Susan actively participated in all her Waverly class of 1966 class reunions and was known for her artistic creations for the festivities.  She maintained friendships with many classmates including Jim and Grace Schweiger and Tom and Elaine Lasater. 

Susan loved and was proud of her family genealogy and Scottish heritage.

A time of calling will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 10 to 12 PM at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad St., Waverly, NY.  A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad St., Waverly with Rev.
