Wilda I. Paul

Wilda I. Paul, 89, of Sayre, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 28, 2016.

She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Mary Steafather Wood.

Wilda is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Donald A. Paul; children, Donald (Susan) Paul of Halifax, PA, Michael (Kay) Paul of Sayre, Jeffrey (Lesa) Paul of Sayre, Gregory (Terrie) Paul of Sayre, and Jonathan (Suzy) Paul of Tampa, FL; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and three step grandchildren.

Wilda (Skippy) was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed life to its fullest with her family.  She cared about everyone and everything around her.  Her life was devoted to her husband and her children; after they were grown she became an avid member of the Audubon Society with her husband.  She will be greatly missed by all of the people that knew her. 

Wilda attended school in Lopez, PA before moving to Sayre where she began work at the Bell Telephone Company in Waverly.  She was a past president of the PTA and a member of the Litchfield Methodist Church.  She enjoyed bird watching, PTA, reading, gardening, nature, doing crossword puzzles, and camping.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Litchfield Methodist Church, Litchfield Road, Litchfield, PA.  Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made in Wilda’s name to the Litchfield Methodist Church or the Audubon Society.  The family is being assisted by the Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad St., Waverly, NY and those wishing may visit our Facebook page or send a private sympathy message of remembrance for Wilda’s family in “obituaries” at
